Simple Joyful Food

"...and they ate with gladness and simplicity of heart"

live happily

Friends and Family.

I constantly marvel at the wonderfulness of my friends and my family.
Isn’t it completely touching when someone goes out of his or her way for you, especially if you have food allergies?
Thank you…
…Dennis for bypassing pizza joints on the nights you really want a pizza because “there is nothing you can eat there.”
…Family for always setting aside corn tortillas for me on Family Taco Night.
…Mrs. Lawson for baking beautiful and delicious pies for church and then going out of your way to purchase all of the gluten-free flours, xanthan gum, tapioca starch, and more.  Just for little ole me.
…Jamie for not only picking fresh basil, thyme, and rosemary in your garden for me, but for picking it at the end of the day so it wouldn’t wilt and then driving it over.
…Vicki for changing your entire menu for dinner Saturday night and baking a beautiful gluten-free dessert.
These are just a few.
You all inspire me to be grateful and thankful and to go out of my way for someone else.
Thank you!

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
