Five foodie-finds for Friday, April 5th.

nwafoodie unique kitchen gadgets and food

Friday. Friday. Friday. Hello lovely beautiful Friday. Your Friday is going to get even lovelier because you are going to want to buy every single one of today’s foodie finds.

It’s okay.

You are worth it.

1.

French copper bowl for Kitchenaid mixer. This unlined copper bowl is made in France as an exact retrofit for your Kitchenaid mixer. This is for the ultimate foodie who wants a perfectly whipped egg or absolute perfection when candy making.  Scratch that, forget perfection… look how gorgeous that shiny copper bowl is!  This is going on my wish-list right (after I buy a Kitchenaid mixer). Wouldn’t you just love one of these?

2.

Fox’s U-Bet Chocolate Syrup. Craving chocolate?  Fox’s U-Bet chocolate syrup has been made in Brooklyn by H. Fox & Company since 1895 and was and is the preferred syrup used in both fountain and home made egg creams in the New York area.  That’s a serious claim by Yankees who are serious about their food.

3.

Organic orange zest.  My super friend VickiW excitedly told me about these adorable little packets of spices that come in handy teaspoon sized packets. On Saturday she gifted me a packet of orange zest and lemon zest so now I am always a pantry-length away from any recipe that calls for it.  C’mon, a foodie must always be prepared and ready to wow.  Thanks VickiW!

4.

Hand-painted pantry cabinet knobs.  These make me smile.  It also makes me wonder who would put these on their cabinets.  I think I would want to be their friend.

5.

Grill’n Barbecue Branch Skewer.  This skewer had me when it said, “holds twice as much as a traditional skewer.”  This is a manly tool and a perfect gift to give when your copper Kitchenaid mixer bowl arrives on your doorstep.  You’re welcome.

Happy Friday!

Lyndi

That copper bowl definitely belongs in my kitchen! Think I will frame a picture of it and put it on Hubs nightstand. Think he will get the hint? Just checking on you….

Thank you Mrs. Mama! I am having a blast looking for unique and fun foodie items. If you buy the bowl, you have to send me pix proudly displaying it! 🙂

Crash!
Smash!
Shock.

Honestly, I was happy I used them all the time, and they had a good run.

I learned long time ago to use what you have. Otherwise, why have it?

You know I’m all about being helpful. And healthy! I’ve also been afraid to walk down that frozen or prepared foods aisle at the store, thinking, “Nope, not for me. They’re not healthy.”

I feel good about @kevins.natural.foods because I know I can still eat well by keeping them on hand, whether for the four-o-clock pinch or meal planning.

I first tried Kevin’s Cauliflower Mac n Cheese when it was a special buy at Aldi’s. The ingredients were simple and pure, and we were delighted to discover they tasted great!

Kevin’s also has a line of delicious five-minute entrees like Peppercorn Steak, Cilantro Lime Chicken, and Roasted Garlic Chicken.

My recipe for Easy Cheesy Roasted Garlic Chicken Skillet Sliders only has seven ingredients and seven steps. Best of all, you can complete it from skillet to table in ten minutes!

Green bean casserole?

Mashed potatoes?

Sweet potato casserole?

Corn?

Peas?

Gravy?

The correct answer is all of them! But mostly, you can’t have Thanksgiving without turkey, sweet potatoes, and veggies. It’s un-American.

This crazy-awesome pie is stuffed with an abundance of shredded turkey, sweet potatoes, corn, peas, and gravy – Ding! Ding! Ding! – You guessed correctly! It also has ooey-gooey cheese and sour cream to add a layer of comforting delight.

Link in bio for my Thanksgiving-inspired pot pie that uses three @wickspies 8″ raw circles. One for the base and two to cut lattice strips (using a ravioli cutter) so that it looks extra pretty. Of course, you could just use two raw circles. One for the base and one for the top. Just cut some slits on the top crust so that some ooey-gooey delightfulness can do its thang.
