Dear Starbucks, are we breaking up?

May 28, 2014 Leave a Comment
dear starbucks are we breaking up new burping lids(c)nwafoodie

I looked the other way when you switched the turkey bacon breakfast sandwich to the new one. It’s okay; I need to get better at making breakfast at home anyways. Besides, that was only an occasional indulgence.

Can we talk about the new lids?

They burp.

Actually, they burp-burp-burp and sputter and spit. My dry cleaner is getting to know me quite well.  Yes, I have double-cupped like you asked me to and have asked for one-inch less of coffee. I am trying my best to fix our relationship.  To do my part.  Okay, okay, I know this is one of the first world problems that you hear about and I hang my head just bringing the subject up.

I just wanted you to know that I miss you.  I miss carelessly enjoying your warm soothing liquid without a thought as I raise you to my lips.  Sigh.  I have to watch everything I do now.  I want to go back to the way it was.

Quality time together is my love language and I miss our quality time together.

Can we work it out?

Eat well, my friends. Eat well.

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
