De Nigris I Fruttati white peach shrub #ItalianVinegar #DrizzleFlavor #denigris1889 AD - main (c)nwafoodie

This post contains a sponsored link to a mocktail/cocktail recipe I developed for De Nigris Italian Vinegars. #ItalianVinegar #DrizzleFlavor

Sorry, I’m not telling you what to do. This post is more like a nudge in the right direction. I mean, I have practically guaranteed that you’ll feel happy sipping merrily along with this shrub.

What is a shrub?

A shrub is a vinegar-based syrup or sweetener, infused with fruits or herbs. Or both. A shrub by itself with a splash of ginger ale or club soda is something pretty special. Akin to freshly squeezed lemonade. With a twist. And speaking of twists, add a kiss of bourbon with a just-picked-and-bursting white peach flavor and now we’re talking.

Either way, it’s a delight. And delightful things make us happy.

Wait… you don’t happen to have any just-picked-and-bursting white peaches? Remedy this immediately by keeping a jar of De Nigris’s I Fruttati white peach fruit pulp vinegar in your pantry.

This recipe is now available on the DeNigris Italian Vinegar site and it’s time to get your happy on.

Happy shrubbing.

Eat well, my friends. Eat well.

Great news, the recipe for making their Championship Chili is right on the Pure Texan Chili Mix bag and it is sooooooo easy to make.

We’re talking simple no-fuss steps:

Brown two-pounds ground beef, drain and add mix, add 8 ounces tomato sauce and 10 ounces of water. Summer very slow for 45 minutes and voila! Done!

I’m delighted that he was enjoying them! I assured him that he could have allllll that his little heart desired… he just had to allow me to take a few photos for you!

inspiration

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
