I interrupt your normal daily life with this very important announcement: you need refreshing cranberry mint mojitos in your life today. I just needed you to know this. If you think that mojitos are the quintessential refreshing drink, just wait until you try these refreshing cranberry mint mojitos.

This post is sponsored by Cape Code Select Premium Frozen Cranberries. #FrozenCranberries #YearOfTheCranberry #CapeCodSelect #SelectTheBest

What makes a mojito so refreshing?

Basically, every component of this cocktail is crispy and delightful. Simple syrup, muddled mint leaves (basically crushed or rubbed mint leaves to release its essence), rum, and finished with bubbly club soda. Deeeelightful.

This recipe doesn’t just call for ordinary simple syrup, aka sugar water. Instead, you’re going to add cranberries for an added punch!

Why should you use cranberries in this simple syrup?

Because we don’t do anything ordinary, do we? Making cranberry simple syrup is not your average simple syrup! It leaves you – and your guests – saying WOW!

Here’s my easy cranberry simple syrup recipe. Make it, refrigerate it, and have it ready to make these crazy delightful cranberry mint mojitos.

They’re made with Cape Cod Select Premium Frozen Cranberries. For over 70 years, they’ve been harvesting cranberries in Southeastern Massachusetts (the heart of “Cranberry Country”) and select only the ripest, freshest fruit to package. That means when you take the bag out of the freezer, you’re going to be delightfully surprised by how plump they are. I know I was!

inspiration

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
