Ready for five more foodie finds this week?

1.

Dimension teapot bicycle bell. Spring is in the air and it is time to pull those bikes out of storage and air up the tires!  This adorable teapot bell easily attaches to your bike and makes it unique.  (pssst, there are also donut shaped and cherry-inspired bells available).  Yes, open the doors and take your foodiness outside.

2.

Asparagus made of chocolate.  Sometimes you just need a little bit of ridiculous in your life.  And, if you are a chocolate lover, it is prime time for eating more veggies to balance the sugar-index in your body.  You can tell yourself that that asparagus made of solid, dark chocolate center and hand-painted in California’s Napa Valley by Woodhouse Chocolate is good for you.  Just what the doctor ordered.

3.

Do the dishes tomorrow tea towel.  Cute. Cute. Cute.  A must-have… unless you are OCD or living with someone who is.

4.

Dizzy petals corkscrew.  This quirky corkscrew provides plenty of leverage to get your cork out of your bottle lickity-split.  If you are someone who likes to entertain with a bit of whimsy, then this is just what you need.

5.

Yellow rustic melamine dinner plates.  While I will be the first person to admit that paper plates have their place in outdoor entertaining, aren’t there times when you dream of just sitting on your deck or patio, enjoying the cool spring breezes with a few close friends and a nice meal?  Ditch the paper plates on those occasions and pull out these rustic melamine ones and throw your oh-no-don’t-drop-and-break-the-fancy-plate cares away! Available in a variety of colors.

On a personal note, thank you for all of the well wishes and condolences from many of you this past week about my dad.  In his own simply-stated words, “I lived a good life.” Life is short so let’s continue to make the most of it!

Happy Friday!

I like to share small ideas for living simply and eating happily.

You will find that I talk a lot about food because we all need to eat. Why not add little bits of food joy where possible?

inspiration

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
