Five foodie-finds for Friday, August 23rd.

It’s Friday!  It’s Friday!  It’s Friday!

I love Friday because it is when I get browse goodies from all over the internet and share foodie items with you that happen to tickle my fancy.

These are so lovely.

1.

Frozen black Oregon truffles. Until we are gazillionaires and able to just casually hop on a plane to France and go truffle hunting, why not explore what the good ol’ US of A has to offer?  Don’t forget the truffle shaver which will shave thin slices of  black Oregon truffle delight over pasta or early morning scrambled eggs.

2.

Serving pot. Fall is just around the corner. It’s when we start spending more time sitting outside, enjoying the temperatures drop and drop until one day we decide that it is time for that jacket.  And that blanket. C’mon, let’spend more time with our loved ones just sitting outside and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.  I think this serving pot would be perfect for transporting something warm to eat and keeping it next to you while you stare at the stars.

3.

Horn salt dish and spoon. Whether you serve your guests from the dining table in a formal style or whether you serve buffet style from the kitchen countertop, this little salt dish and spoon adds a little specialness.

4.

French madeleines. I don’t have a sweet tooth. It is true.  You rarely ever see me talking about baking or indulging in dessert. I prefer savory.  Except madeleines.  I think it may be the perfect dessert with just a hint of sweet.  Madeleines will be my next baking project just as soon as figure out where to buy a true blue steel French Madeleine pan.  From France.  Until then, these little pre-made French pretties will hit the spot. Oui.

5.

Less laboring, more savoring plate. Doesn’t this plate just make you smile?  It’s dubbed as a “pizza plate” but I think it would be perfect as a tapas or appetizer plate. It would go perfectly next to that serving pot. Besides, we all could use a constant reminder to slow down and savor the moment.
