The internet is brimming with goodies that are begging us to pay attention to. Today’s foodie finds are both fun and practical. Is it wrong that I want them all?

1.

Sunnyside Up tray. Cute. We’ve all seen the porcelain egg holders in stores, magazines, and Pinterest photos. This is the first time I have come across a wooden tray to house your homesteader or farmers market beauties. Perfect for the times you are baking and need to bring an egg or two up to room temperature.

2.

Florigraphie Margherita straw potholder. I love surrounding myself with beautiful things. I believe it elevates our surroundings and inspires us. Growing up with had a brightly colored potholder that we used everyday as a trivet to hold hot pans. Guess what? I still have that straw potholder and use it constantly. It still is in excellent condition and I estimate it is between thirty and forty years old. This straw potholder is of the same material and the site has other floral designs to choose from. Pricey for a potholder? Not if it last as long as mine has!

3.

Bourbon smoked sugar. OoooOooo. Imagine the uses for this! Sprinkle on a cobbler, rim a cocktail glass, or add to a BBQ rub.

4.

Chocolat en Poudre. The French drinking hot chocolate is served in top French hotels such as George V, The Ritz, Royal Monte Carlo and The Bristol. It is made using select cocoa, refined cane sugar and natural Bourbon vanilla (apparently I have Bourbon on the brain). It contains no dairy additives and is not Dutch processed. 10 packets or buy it in a canister. I’m hoping over there now to purchase to bring for an upcoming vacation.

5.

Lavender Herbes de Provence refillable grinder. What is this magical grinder? Hand painted and made in France, this ceramic grinder is designed to release the strongest essence of the French classic Herbes de Provence with a simple twist. This site has many designs to choose from and focuses on many of your favorite herbs. Yes, it is refillable.

Happy shopping.

Eat well, my friends. Eat well.

inspiration

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
