Raise your hand if you are spending hours in a hot kitchen these days either cooking or baking.

You’re not either?

I so get you.

Let’s face it. These summer days are long and we want to be a starring role outside, not slaving away in the kitchen. We are eating on the go or kicking back. There isn’t much in between, right?

Enter stage left.

This chili steak and rice wrap.

It’s a meal that fits in the palm of your hand and gives you permission to get messy with your food. My Arkansas friends at Riceland Foods have tons of delicious rice-based recipes on their website and years of cookbook traditions. They sponsored a nwafoodie post to recreate one of their recipes: Riceland’s Chili Steak and Rice Wrap.

And yes… it does tastes as good as it looks!
