Simple Joyful Food

happy eats + simple living

meal planning + prep

The scale doesn’t lie.

August 24, 2011 2 Comments

Yesterday I talked about the 5 VIRTUES OF A FOOD SCALE over at themightyrib.com, a Houston food blog where I have a monthly column called “You Are What You Eat.”

Basically, it’s like this:  I’ve been going ga-ga-crazy enjoying all types of previously forbidden foods since finding out my happy test results.  Drastic measures had to be taken or else.

I bought a food scale so my weight scale would be happy.

You should, too (if you don’t already have one).

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
