I’ve been wondering, “Are the new cauliflower?” Once you learn how to make broccoli and cheese , you may be wondering the same thing. “How in the world did someone figure out that simple, low-carb ingredients the same as regular waffles?” Or, in this case – taste like an Eggo brand waffle.

I have to admit that until recently, were new to me. It wasn’t until my friend Keisha shared a post about what is trending on Pinterest did the word “” enter my vocabulary. According to Pinterest trends, are a trending topic.

Okay, what exactly IS a chaffle?

Good question! is a spin-off on the word waffle and cheese (Che- doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as nicely). Technically, it’s a waffle made out of eggs with cheese… no gluten, low carb, and keto. You cook chaffles in a waffle maker just like you would a regular waffle.

Does it takes like a waffle?

Indeed it does! This recipe on how to make broccoli and cheese is on the savory side. It is delicious by itself and would be INCREDIBLE with an open-face grilled burger and Hollandaise sauce. Eliminate the broccoli and viola! Now you have a waffle… I mean, … just begging you for butter and syrup!

Are chaffles easy to make?

Extremely easy! You can whip them up in minutes. All you need is a waffle maker. I didn’t have one, so I purchased this super cute mini waffle maker. I like the smaller size since I can make tons ahead of time and freeze them for later!

So there you have it – chaffles are healthy, tasty, and surprisingly easy to make. Sounds like the perfect thing for breakfast this morning!

Who’s ready to start making chaffles?

Happy chaffling.

Eat well, my friends.
