* Marci at Stone Cottage Adventures’s lucky #4 is the winner! Congratulations! *
This post contains an affiliate link and RAWSPICEBAR provided me with product. Be assured that before I recommend a product, I try it myself and absolutely have to believe that it encourages eating well and living well. Good luck to one of you!
There is an exhilarating sense of accomplishment when you create a sauce without having to look up a recipe online or pull out the dog-eared cookbook. Your shoulders automatically pull back and you stand just a wee bit straighter than before. You nailed it.
Go you!
You see, the more we cook from scratch, the more experienced we get. Variety of dried spices and fresh herbs start getting introduced to your old standbys. What used to be the pantry staple of processed pasta sauces all of a sudden becomes extinct as you add a little bit of this and a little bit of that. You start creating your own masterpieces.
Maybe you’re still waiting to start that next level of confidence with your meal prep. Perhaps you’ve already started and you are yearning for more.
Are you? I am.
Always.

If you like what you see, sign up for a quarterly subscription and receive continue spice inspiration delivered to your mailbox!
The goal is continuous variety and inspiration.
My flavor kit arrived with a Peppercorn Chai blend, and Unpumpkin Pie Spice blend, and an Indo-French Vadouvan blend. The Vadouvan blend married perfectly with a leek and butternut squash soup. But seriously, I went crazy over the chai, making a delicious pot of peppercorn masala chai using almond milk, water, pyure, and earl grey black tea leaves. Because of it, I am officially obsessed with all things chai. All things.

You know I have been SO looking forward to this post! And honestly – less for the giveaway (although that’s awesome!), and more because I wanted to hear your detailed take on this line of products.
As we’ve discussed in our foodie diatribes: I’m looking for subtle inspiration and interesting flavors over directions for cooking and precise recipes. Winging it and cooking from scratch? Yes, please.
Definitely checking out RSB this month.
Oh! (as if I could resist…)
I would spice up a soup. As a vegetarian, it’s hard to find trustworthy soups (non beef or chicken broth) in public, but I luuurrvve soup… and I think strong spices are key to great soup.
Love this!

Thank you, friend! “Winging it and cooking from scratch” — that should be your next blog post! * LOVE *
Soup is a great answer! I think it would be a fun experiment to take a simple soup, say of carrots, butter, and onions. Then, make it five different ways with only changing out spices. I declare a challenge! You in?

Chicken is a great canvas… and very forgiving! When you’re here next week, let’s go foraging in my pantry and have a chicken adventure. <-- haha, that sounds ridiculous! <-- but can we?

I love to play with new flavor combinations. But I tend to stick with the same seasonings just in different mixtures.
I would love to spice up chicken in different ways and my roasted veggies.
lyndi says
Chicken and veggies for the win! It’s fun to try new things, isn’t it?
