Happy Friday!

I hope you are having a happy and hope-filled day, looking forward to this holiday weekend with giddy anticipation. I am pretty pumped because this weekend I finally get to meet a (second) cousin for the first time in my life! Plus I will be having a reunion with friends I used to go to church with over thirty years ago. Fun, right?

Speaking of church youth groups… today’s five foodie finds is a plug for my church’s teen and young adult group. They are planning a trip to New York City next June and are working hard on raising funds to pay for flights, lodging, food, and sightseeing. Their next year will be filled with car washes, painting fences, raking leaves, and other traditional fundraisers. Rada Cutlery is their current fundraiser that features American made cutlery and kitchen items with great prices and a lifetime guarantee. Sweet! If you are interested in one of these or would like to browse their entire product line, use this link. Thank you!

Because you know I love to make suggestions, here are five Rada items that I think every foodie should own.

1.Tomato Slicer ($5.50)

2.Non-Scratch Soup Ladle ($8.50)

3.Ice Cream Scoop ($11.50)

4.Heavy Duty Paring Knife ($4.75)

5.Cheese Knife ($7.50)

Eat well, my friends. Eat well.

You will find that I talk a lot about food because we all need to eat. Why not add little bits of food joy where possible?

inspiration

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
