Drop off chicken soup to a sick friend.

nwafoodie chicken soup friend jelly jars sick

You made all that soup last month for National Soup Month, right?  And your best friend is sick.

What to do. What to do.

I know!

They need soup. And oranges. And love. Lots of love.

Let’s do something different together. I am making a conscious effort to just-do-something instead of always asking that “let me know if you need anything,” question.  Of course they need something.  They just don’t want to ask or even think about the logistics of it all.

Here is an idea for both of us.  Scoop up some homemade chicken soup in 8oz jelly jars from the canning section.  Drop it off at their home.  Ring the doorbell and run, if you must.  Just do it!  The 8oz jars are the perfect size for pouring into a mug and quickly microwaving.

It is all about making it easy for them and making them feel loved.  Oh, and you will feel good, too.

Happy good-feelings!

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
