This post contains a link to a compensated OnlyInArk restaurant review of Louise Café in Bentonville.
Dennis and I went for a mid-morning drive the other day with nothing other than the sole purpose of a leisurely stroll. We found ourselves in Fayetteville, exploring side streets with overgrown trees shading our path and ending up sitting on a park bench on Wilson Park. It was gloriously and decadently slow living at its best as we happily munched on quite possibly the tastiest fried green tomatoes we picked up from the Natural State Sandwiches from the Yacht Club off of College Avenue.
We got to chatting about restaurant options and how most of the “news” on the food scene is happening in Bentonville, roughly thirty-minutes north of Fayetteville. So much has changed over the past ten years… this same conversation would have us easily switching towns.
One of the newer restaurants popping up in Bentonville that is worth checking out is LOUISE, a café located in the Thaden Fieldhouse of the Bentonville municipal airport. Before your mind conjures up “airport food” – pause. It is BECAUSE of it’s location at the airport is what makes LOUISE extra special. It’s intimate, cozy, and deliciously simple and yes, you have great views of small planes steps away from your dining table.
I would love for you to read my review of Louise Café in Bentonville where the regulars are loyally coming back for nightly specials and their kids are happily enjoying the sights and sounds beyond the windo. And me? Give me all the menu items… they are superb!
Do you have a favorite new restaurant, bar, food truck, or café that you want to tell the world about?
Eat well, my friends.
