Confession time.
I have a secret that explains why my kitchen cabinets are over-the-top uncluttered.
It is a realllly simple secret.
Ready for it?
Everyday items get to live inside with me.
Specialty dishes, serving trays, party glasses, randomly used gadgets, and “pretties” have to live outside.
In the garage.
In see-through tubs
All we have to do is dum-de-dum-de-dum stroll a few feet and gaze through the tubs to see what item gets to play inside for the day.
Simple as that.
Try it.
You may discover that your “extra” stuff can be quite inspiring.
It is a great feeling.
Eat well, my friends. Eat well.

Oh – I have those same shelves in my garage, but I'm not sharing any pictures b/c they are a cluttered disgusting disaster.
lyndi says
C'mon, share those pictures!
Debbie Arnold says
Lyndi and I can help you with that, can't we!
lyndi says
You know it!
: )

What a great idea! I wonder how we can do this in terms of our small apartment…
lyndi says
Good question, Jedd. Garages are a luxury when one doesn't have one.
Let's see. When Dennis and I had our first apartment we were just starting out and did not have tons of extra stuff. We could've used the long and short see-through tubs and had them under the bed. Or, the larger see-through tubs and stacked a few in the hall coat closet. Even one tub to store extra less-used items can make a difference.
Great question.
